Fantastic piccies Lucky - fireworks are notoriously hard to photograph so BIG well done. I heard there was a firework display that left the organisers red faced when £60,000 worth of fireworks went off within 50 seconds !

Hi there and welcome to Shetlandlive. I have lived in Shetland since i was a toddler. My dad is a Shetlander from Unst and my Mum is from Liverpool, I have one brother Paul who is the local GP in Brae. When i get time out i like to have a wild old time with all my friends and family. I set up Shetlandlive to have an exciting new place for Shetlanders to get together. There are so many good stories, pictures and videos out there that just get lost in cyberspace. Some people are are on facebook others like to twitter - this a local site for local people, and the humour to go with it! You Shetlanders have got a very good taste in music! Heard your profile song on the radio the other day and it was like a ray of light in the darkness of today's mediocre rock ;) -
